bittersweet ~ a yandere!John Wick x fem!reader sunshine/grump coffee shop AU... Part 43 all chapters
WARNINGS FOR THIS FIC: NSFW, SEXUAL CONTENT, VIOLENCE, YANDERE SH!T. Plz take care. I luv u all. 😘
43. surprise
A week later John interrupts you in your studio, looking unfairly edible in old jeans and a white henley, wiping his hands with a greasy rag. By his little smile, you can tell he was watching you for a while, before purposely alerting you of his presence.
You don’t mind the interruption. You were just playing around, not feeling particularly inspired, just doodling. It’s funny, how contentment can kill your driving need to make your mark on a canvas, as though you’ve made some devil’s bargain with your muse.
“I have a surprise for you.”
“Baaaabe…” It still makes you a little uncomfortable. All the gifts. He presented you with a new phone the other day, programmed with your old number no less, and you are still feeling guilty for some reason, even though he destroyed your last one. Aside from the photos, and the occasional texts with your friends who are usually too busy for you anyway…you hadn’t really missed the device.
You asked if he would like for you to go back to work, feeling like a freeloader–and he laughed at you before kissing you silly, and walking out of the room.
You’d called your mother to check in, and found out she didn’t even realize you were gone longer than you were supposed to be in Italy. Your youngest half-sibling was crying for something on the other end of the line, and she had to let you go after barely saying hello.
You’re not really sure why you even try, anymore, but it left you feeling slightly less sad than usual after talking with her. At least, you’re not alone anymore. You have someone in your life who thinks you irreplaceable. You feel how precious that is, more than ever.
“I think you’re really going to like this one. I’m going to like it too. Come on.”
You sidle up to him, not moving half as quickly as he’d like. You can tell by the way he narrows his eyes down at you, those plush lips pulled in a half-smile. Truth be told…the way this simple white shirt fits across his chest does unmentionable things to you, and you’re not sure you’re in a hurry to go anywhere.
“If you keep looking at me like that, you’re not getting your surprise today,” he playfully threatens.
“I have everything I need right here,” you assure him, running hands over his pecs, completely distracted. He catches your mouth with a groan, strong hands digging into your waist hard enough to bruise.
“I’m going to sling you over my shoulder in five seconds if you don’t come downstairs with me.”
“No!” you giggle, nipping him on the lip and running out the door. He chases you, and you laugh as you sprint down the hall, adrenaline and too much joy to stand singing through your veins. You feel like your heart literally might burst.
He doesn’t catch you until you are down the stairs and halfway across the living room, grabbing you up in his strong arms, bending you over backwards with the fury of his kiss. He grins like a wolf between nipping at your tender flesh, and suddenly you find yourself on the floor, sinking into the plush new area rug with his solid weight on top of you.
“Hey, what about my surprise?” you goad him, laughing as he seems to attempt to bite through your bra strap under your shirt.
“I have a different surprise for you now, kitten,” he growls, unbuttoning your jeans. Your mirth quickly turns to moans, as his long fingers find your wet center, swiping up your juices and circling your clit.
As surprises go–this wasn’t bad at all.
***
You make it to the garage–eventually.
He blindfolded you with a clean dish towel, because it was on hand after the two of you staggered drunkenly like lovesick idiots to the kitchen for a drink of water, after christening John’s new rug. Soft. Good cushion. 10/10. Imagining giving this review to Charlie’s tough-looking clean up crew makes you almost choke on an ice cube.
“John!” you complain when you bang your toe on something. A tool box? Your legs still feel like spaghetti.
“Sorry,” he chortles, not sorry at all, but trying to lead you with more care with arms on your shoulders. You take little steps, trying to track where you are in the garage, but your brain isn’t really functioning yet.
“Hold out your hands.”
You do so, extending them in front of you, groping through the air. Your fingertips brush something rubbery. And…some metal tubing. Your other hand finds the cool curve of…a gas tank. “Are you taking me for a ride?” you ask excitedly, caressing the contours of the leather seat.
“I thought I just did?”
“Pfft,” you tease. “On wheels. I missed the motorcycle.”
“That’s good news. Because you’ve got your own now.”
What?
Now you can’t stop yourself from tearing off the blindfold, finding a sleek beetle-black machine before you. It’s smaller, definitely not John’s bike–but it’s cool.
“It’s a Kawasaki. Just 400cc’s,” he tells you, patting the seat. “Perfect starter bike. When you get the hang of it we’ll get you something with more kick.”
The significance of this particular offering does not escape you. That he would offer you the means of transporting yourself independently speaks of this newborn trust between you–and it means the world to you. He only staggers a little when you suddenly throw your arms around his neck, pressing your lips to his. “I love it.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. When do we start?”
“You’ll have to get your learner’s permit. But I’ll take you to the empty parking lot in town right now, if you want to start learning how to shift.”
“Yeah.”
“Yeah?” His polished ebony eyes are absolutely shining, and you don’t know how it’s possible, that every time you think you couldn’t be happier, this man raises the bar again.
How far the two of you have come.
“One question.”
“Hmm?”
“Where does the samurai sword go?”

IDK HOW MANY MESSAGES/ASKS IM ALLOWED TO LEAVE SO I'LL JUST LEAVE ONE BUT I FEEL LIKE GIOVANNI CUT HIS HAIR BY HIMSELF!! Got this big feeling that he used to have long hair, and then he cut it before the first meeting he had with his boys when he first joined the banzai blasters
On top of that: in the season 1 sprites, his hair ends make it look kinda like it was freshly cut in a way, and the events of the museum arc take place a week after he got promoted to captain so like THERE'S NO WAY HE DIDN'T CUT IT HIMSELF!! /HJ
Also I think he deserves one shark plush and one pet snail or a kitten /p
oh oh the hair one!! his hair looks a little more tamed and fluffy and healthy in general in P.O.P like either 1. Gio's been taking care of it or 2. his hair grows fast due to a healthy diet, which mod thinks is likely (okay both are likely but number 2 seems more likely since P.O.P literally describes his hair as greasy)
#also he doesn't deserve a shark plush and pet snail/kitten. he NEEDS it.#sfe#giovanni potage#epithet erased#prison of plastic#epithet erased confessions

Had more than one Lmk dream, but I think this one is more cohesive. Pardon the fic-esque style.
Macaque flopped onto his back, fluffing up all his fur as MK watched in bafflement over how a greasy, dusty monkey went from drowning in his emo bangs to fluffed up like a newborn kitten. For a moment, he was worried the other monkey would kick him in the face which didn’t last long as Macaque had started purring and lightly kicking the air - literally like a kitten! MK felt like he was in the twilight zone as he heard Macaque meow, before daring to ask. “Why…why are you doing this?” Macaque opened one eye to stare at him (though that was also the only functional eye he had) before shifting his position to lean on his elbow, giving off more of that “nonchalant cool guy” body language he was more familiar with. He smirked lightly. “Because…nobody would ever believe you.” Just then, a voice sounded from the door. “Pfff- I would.” Silence. In unison they both turned to see Monkey King with a smug grin on his face. “Furry.” With those words, MK got to witness Macaque let out a very feline like hiss, as his fur and tail stood up straight and launch himself into the air like a little furry demon straight from those “cat photos caught ten seconds before disaster” Mei sent him.
If you’re wondering OP. Macky here was doing different animal impressions lol. Lad is the whole zoo, what a diverse acting portfolio and range ;D
this is the best dream i have ever read
#macky i thought you had six ears :3 how come you missed monkey king's presence :)#awfully misguided of you#lmk#asks#lmk six eared macaque#dream anon

member: minho wc: 1.2k genre: fluff, flirty best friends to lovers au, high school au, bad boy au, skater boy au, summer au, chaotic take on the nonchalant character a flirts back to greasy character b trope note: dialogue is messy af idk i was tryna channel summ coming of age writing there or whatev + same universe as doll bc skz cheesy tropes agenda
Above yours and Minho's heads, the raindrops fall fast on the waiting shed's clear roof with loud thuds. Simultaneously, some are also blown in the little dry space you could occupy by the cold gust of wind that accompanies the sudden rainfall, dampening your bare legs and roller skates uncomfortably as you sit on the lone wooden bench. When you crane your neck out to the edge of the waiting shed's roof, the once clear blue and sunny sky is now covered with gray clouds and distant scattered lightning.
So much for skating with your best friend along the Han today. You sigh at this in defeat, leaning back and sinking down the cold seats with your hands crossed over your chest. "We'll just have to wait the rain out, I guess..."
Next to you, Minho giggles as he briefly extends a hand out to the downpour, opening and closing the spaces between his fingers at every drop of rain. "It's not that bad, kitten." He assures but to little avail, glancing over his shoulder to see your frown still attached to your expression which makes him laugh. "Look on the bright side, you can cool off from skating out in the heat 5 minutes ago! It's freezing now!"
"You know I don't like cold rain." You pout anyway, crossing your legs in further discomfort as more raindrops are swayed by the wind towards you. You'd lift and fold your legs closer to you if you could but you have socks inside your skates and you'd prefer to keep it dry until the rain eases. "I feel sticky and weird."
In response, Minho folds his palm exposed to the rain inward and collects enough rainwater to lightly splash your way, making you yelp in disgust and slap his back harshly. "Like that?"
"Ya! Lee Minho!"
He laughs even harder to your annoyance, emptying his palm of rainwater by spraying you some more before shaking its remnants off on the side. Leaning back on the bench as well and scooting closer to you, he then wiggles his eyebrows and asks, "Are you refreshed yet?"
You punch him on the upper arm in response, eliciting more mischievous giggles from him. "You're so annoying."
"That's no way to talk to your class president, secretary Y/L/N." He scoffs, shuffling around his seat as he places his sneakers on top of his skateboard and sways it from side to side to pass the time.
"You're not class president anymore. We literally just graduated 2 weeks ago." You point out matter-of-factly, peering down on the floor before playfully kicking the board from under his feet. When you look up, you see Minho feigning his own pout before he expertly kicks the board up to his hand, placing it on his opposite side. "You gotta let it go, Lee. You're not the boss of me anymore."
The last comment suddenly brightens up his face, the corners of his pout lifting up into a smirk. "Ah-ha, so by corporate rules, I can date you now, right?"
"It was high school classroom politics. It's not that deep, my friend." You shake your head dramatically and pat his shoulder once more, purposely ignoring your own quickening heartbeat and heated cheeks. "Also ew, are you into office roleplay now or something?"
"I didn't say that, you did, okay?" He nudges your shoulder with a wink, propping an arm behind you on the bench and leaning his cheek against his upturned palm. "Oh dear, kitten, I think it's you who's into that...or something."
"Like I said, you're annoying." You pull up a straight face in front of him, only for the sudden gust of wind to break you apart and make you shiver in front of him.
"And you're cold." He points out obviously as you hug your arms tighter, instinctively removing his arm behind you and lifting the hem of his hoodie up. "Here—"
You raise your hands up in between the two of you, palms facing him when he tries pushing the pink hoodie towards you. "No, it's fine—"
"Come on, I can't have you dying of hypothermia before I could walk you back home and announce to auntie that I'm courting you." He rolls his eyes, lowering the hoodie just below your hands and haphazardly throwing the material over your bare legs.
"I—"
He ignores your wide eyes and parted lips, tsking as he straightens the thick hoodie horizontally across you. "Cover your legs at least, you're getting rain all over them."
You awkwardly cough your flustered expression away, hands dropping down the hoodie on your lap and lifting it up once more. "Then you'll..." You inhale, mentally cringing at your next words as you twist your upper body to face Minho's anticipating gaze. "Then you'll freeze to death before you could walk me back home and announce to my mom that you're gonna court me...stupid."
You dangerously peek from the sides of the hoodie amidst the internal panic in your head to catch Minho's brief flustered expression, cheeks burning red and mouth agape as it's him coughing into his fist this time and glancing away from you in panic.
"Shut up." He musters up a roll of his eyes once he's visibly recovered, pushing the hoodie back to you again and pinning it down on both of your shoulders this time. "Whatever, I'd rather you stay warm."
"But this hoodie fits us just fine." You swat his hands away from your shoulders, sneaking a hand down the hem of his band shirt and tugging him closer to you. "It's not the door from Titanic, Min. Scoot in, you're clearly shivering too."
"Nope—"
"—Lee Minho, you're so stubborn—"
"—Says you—"
"—I said, let's share, stupid—"
You pass the hoodie back and forth in your rapid bickering, you trying to get him to sit closer while he counters by trying to tuck the ends of the hoodie under your legs.
It's only when the rain worsens and a small meow passes your ears that the two of you freeze in place, turning your heads to your right where one of the neighbourhood cats has arrived to the waiting shed and settled under the far end of the bench.
"Look at that, kitten." Minho points out in a much gentle whisper now, bunching the hoodie in his hands and slowly removing them off of your lap. "It's...well, it's an actual kitten."
You absentmindedly help him at this, wobbling over your skates to a stand after and carefully approaching the drenched orange tabby. "I think the little guy needs it more than we do." You suggest, earning you a nod from Minho who then passes you the hoodie when you glance over your shoulder.
Minho then stands up, tiptoeing along towards the cat who initially backs away until you reach your hands out for it to smell. "Ah, I was gonna be cute with you and lend you my hoodie." He whispers teasingly, carefully patting the cat and scratching its ears once it visibly gets comfortable with the two of you. "I'll just try again next time. When do you think's the next rainfall this summer?"
You elbow him on the side with a laugh, letting the cat smell the hoodie as you scratch its ears as well. "You'll have plenty of chances next time. Didn't you say you're courting me this summer? That better not be another joke of yours, Lee."
"When did I ever joke about those, kitten?" He winks before turning his full attention back to the cat. "Let's get this other kitten dry and warm first then we'll talk about how we'll dramatically announce our relationship to your parents later."
"You're ridiculous."

Soft niragi hours drunk texting gf.
GO!
(please, and thank you)
Characters: Niragi Suguru, his girlfriend
Genre: Fluff. Niragi's drunk off his ham.
1.2k words
It’s going to be in the POV of the girlfriend, which is a first for me, since I usually drift towards using the actual characters more. Still don't have a name for her, so it's just... never mentioned once.
Also, we’re going off the basis that phones do work in the Borderlands, but the only numbers that work are within the Beach members because somehow they’re just like that sometimes.
Be notified that there is the barest mention of just sex but it's so briefly glossed over that it's unimportant. Also, mentions of being drunk. Obviously.
Also I am gonna base drunk texting on A) how I imagine soft Niragi would text like, and B) Drunk texts I am reading online. Hope you don’t mind.
Oh, and I was this close to making Niragi’s nickname on the texting section Calf. You know, because baby giraffe.
The phone sits peacefully on the benchtop as she stirs together leftovers in the pan, wondering where her boyfriend has been. It’s been a while since he left to hang out with the other militants down at the bar, and she came down to the kitchen to make herself dinner. It sucked that she couldn’t have dinner with her beloved, but sometimes things kept them apart and they had to do things on their own. Still, she couldn’t wait to give him all the cuddles when he got back to their room, as well as give him smooches before bedtime.
She pauses her stirring for a second as she hears her phone cheerfully chime with a notification, pulling the pan off the heat as she checks.
Nini: honyyyyyyyyyyyy hiiiiiiiiiiiii mis yiu ;(
She giggles, her lips curling in amusement at the obvious state her boyfriend was in.
Kitten: hi niragi you good?
Nini: i miss youuuuuu
Nini: wannna
Nini: wanna hug you and kisss youu
Nini: wAnt to touch
Kitten: awwwww you miss me that badly? i love you too
Nini: ❤️❤️❤️
Kitten: ❤️❤️❤️ you too!!!
Nini: nuh uh love you more ❤️
Nini: love you soooooo muuuhchh wanan
Nini: can we buy a babyy
That earns a loud snort from her. That was quite a conversation switch. She was lucky nobody was in the kitchen with her. She glances at her leftovers, and slides them back onto the heat to finish cooking. She could watch both. Maybe.
Ah, she was probably gonna burn them. She could still try to multitask.
Kitten: what do we need a baby for?
Nini: so i can hold
Nini: both
Nini: babaabbabya
Nini: i wanna name it belc
Kitten: belc?
Nini: heah
Nini: best bame for best baby
Kitten: haha okay
Kitten: i would love to raise a family with you
Kitten: be the most kickass family of all!!!!!
Nini: yeahhhhhh
Nini: gonna be so strong!!!!!!!
Nini: hey hey hey hey
Kitten: yes?
Nini: imma win this bet watch me
Kitten: okay! you can do it niragi!
There was nothing, leaving her to be able to focus on her food, which somehow hasn’t burnt, and she plates it and heads outside to the tables to eat. Her phone pings with a new text as she sits down and begins to eat.
Nini: i wondid you se did youseee
Kitten: of course! you did it!
Nini: yeha!!!!!!!
Nini: im the greatest person
Kitten: yes you are
Kitten: do you want me to come grab you later so we can cuddle?
Nini: you read my mindd!
Nini: of course i do kitten please i want your cuddledse
Kitten: just let me eat first okay?
Nini: okay take care love you!!!
Kitten: <3
Nini: <333
Kitten: <3333333333
She smiles as she sends that last heart to Niragi, and goes back to eating her food, hurrying just a little more. She couldn’t wait to be with Niragi, even if he was drunk off his mind. Maybe she could get him some water to ease him, and then head down to the infirmary to grab him some hangover pills. She would hate it if he woke up with a headache, it sounded terrible.
She doesn’t even clean up as she shovels the last bit of food into her mouth, getting up and speed walking towards the bar, pulling out her trusted kitty headband from a special pouch she kept on her and putting it on her head to make her search decades easier. It was full of people partying and drinking their cares away in alcohol, and a few mating rituals here and there. She ignores it though, heading over to a rather secluded VIP area near the back of the bar. A few militants were there, some who greet her with a casual wave.
She doesn’t really manage a greeting back as a blur of black pounces on her, the smell of alcohol hitting her nostrils. Niragi giggles happily as he squeezes her, rubbing his face against her, making her laugh.
“ You came~” Niragi purrs happily into her crook of her neck. She cards her fingers through his hair, which was still greasy from the amount of whatever he slapped in there that morning. She lightly tsked at that. She needed to give it a proper cleanse one of these days. Niragi would probably love having the softest hair imaginable than whatever the hell this was.
“ Of course I did! I wouldn’t have left you alone to be drunk on your own!” She gently pushes him away so she could reach his face, kissing his nose, Niragi grinning dopily at that. “ Ready to head back?” “ Fuck yeah I do~ Cuddles with my girlfriend are the best! Hey everyone! Look at my girlfriend!” He shouts out to the entirety of the world that resided there, pulling her close to him. A few just look to them and take a silent acknowledgement, others clapping for him with several different emotions attached. She giggles and wraps her arms around the back of his neck, resting against him.
“ Okay you dork, come on. The longer we stand here, the less we have to- Eep!” She yelps as Niragi scoops her up and starts fucking running, laughing all the while.
“ I wanna cuddle now! Time’s wasting!” She laughs, holding onto him as he runs in his clear drunk state, somehow managing to get quite far. That is, until he trips on literal air and they go flying, landing on the ground. She grunts, her butt taking most of the brunt, Niragi not that far and on the ground face down. He rolls over with a drunken giggle before she could ask if he was alright, grinning at the ceiling.
“ Oopsie.” Niragi slurs quietly, and she comes over, brushing away hair that fell in front of his face. “ No problem! Come on, we’re so close. We can walk normally! Don’t worry, I have my trusty headband on, so we will get there instantly!” Niragi’s eyes brighten despite how far away they were, and his lips curl even higher.
“ Then what are we- We waiting for! Come on!” He tries to get up, stumbling a bit. She giggles and grabs her boyfriend’s hands, carefully pulling him up. She keeps one in her hand as they walk hand and hand down the hall, heading up to their room for much needed cuddles.
“ When we finish cuddling, you’re gonna drink some water so it doesn’t hurt as badly, okay sweetie? Then I can grab you some pills for the morning.”
Niragi hums with his smile still plastered on his face, squeezing her hand a little. “ You’re- You’re soooo good to me. You’re fucking great~” “ So are you! Now come on, it’s about time!” She opens the door, pulling her boyfriend in. Niragi loudly cheers, making her laugh even more.
Man, she loved this sweet man so much.

"You're lucky though- at least you've got siblings." Joanna had always wanted brothers and sisters, and Tommen was the sweetest boy in the world.
She was sorry to hear Myrcella had been lonely recently though- things had changed a lot for her, she had lost people, and her family life had come apart so quickly. Joanna knew what that could be like, though it had been more than a decade since her mother's death turned everything upside down. "I bet we'll make loads of new friends here." That was one of the best things about university- yes, you were living away from your family for the first time, but it was still almost impossible to feel lonely.
Joanna smiled at the mention of the stuffed animal, and slowly walked over to her suitcase, and took out a small toy cat. It was rather ragged, and much of the colour had gone. "I brought this... it's the last present my mum got for me. I don't sleep with it in my bed anymore but it's nice to have it close."
It was no substitute for the real thing though- she was rather heartbroken at having to leave her own cats at home. Her father had grumbled about how he was now in charge of all the kittens she had brought home from rescue shelters over the years, but Joanna knew he didn't really mind. Not as much as he minded her being gone.
She pulled a face at her dad's best friend- one of their ways of showing affection- before turning back to her cousin and smiling. It was good to see her so excited and happy, but there was something a little sad about realising how little freedom Myrcella had had before now. "She's really never let you have a boyfriend or girlfriend?"
Joanna pulled another face and laughed at the dining suggestion. "Ew! Greasy! I think Paulo would literally kill me if he found out I'd eaten that shit!" Her and her father's chef, who had worked for them since she was small, considered he knew the only proper way to make pizza. "But for you, alright, let's do it!"
24) with Jon or Cella (maybe college roomate AU?)
Joanna had thought she wouldn't like the idea of sharing a room- she'd never had to before- but with Myrcella, it would be fun! It was moving in day, and she was excited to start this new chapter.
"I've put some posters up on my side of the room, hope that's okay! And don't worry about the keyboard in the corner- I've got headphones I can attach it to so I won't make too much noise when I'm practising!" She expected most of the time she would use the proper pianos in the practise rooms anyway, but it was useful to have something more portable she could have in her room as well.
"Here-" she tossed a chocolate bar over to her cousin. "Have you brought much from home with you?"

Alternatively could you write one based on the scene where the woman is hiding behind the counter and that amazing hero of a woman takes one look at the scary dude following her and says something like “honey you stay as long as you need” because the world needs more examples of women like that
This scene is one of my all-time favorites from the movie, so thank you for suggesting it! Here’s a little Snape-hate for your Thursday <3
Read it on AO3
Lily knew better than to get her hopes up when it came to Petunia. She’d learned through the years that trying to get back in her sister’s good graces was far beyond a lost cause, but when she’d spotted the little grey kitten with crystal blue eyes playing in the Cokeworth Pet Shop’s front window, she really thought she’d found the perfect birthday present. Lily and Petunia used to love chasing the neighbourhood strays around when they were children. Surely, Tuney still liked cats.
Apparently, Lily was quite mistaken.
On the morning of the twelfth of July, 1976, when Lily presented Petunia with the mewing gift, she was met by a scowl and crinkled nose.
“Vernon’s dog-sitting for his sister at the moment,” Petunia said as she handed Lily back the kitten, “so this thing will have to be out of sight when he arrives this afternoon. Best to make yourself scarce, as well... Vern thought you were quite odd after you two met last Christmas.”
Lily didn’t give a rat’s arse what Vern thought of her but bringing the kitten back to her own bedroom stung. Navigating the tricky relationship with Petunia had always been difficult when Lily came home from Hogwarts, but this Summer had been especially hard without Sev to turn to when it all became too much. Not that she wanted to turn to him anymore.
She squeezed the kitten to her chest and sighed, the memory of what Sev had said that day by the lake hitting her again in waves. Maybe a walk and some fresh air would help.
It didn’t.
Barely a block away from her house, Lily heard shuffling footsteps behind her and immediately her chest tightened. She should have known.
“Lily, can we-”
“I told you to stay away from me, Sev.”
She spun around to see Severus, mouth gaping, hair disheveled, brows knit.
“Please,” he sputtered, slightly breathless, “I just want to talk.”
Lily felt like she could breathe fire at that moment. “Bloody hell, I’ve heard enough out of you for a lifetime. Leave me alone.” She spun on her heel and started heading towards the center of town, hoping that having a crowd might deter Severus in his quest for Merlin knows what.
“I know today is hard for you,” he continued, unfazed by the fact she was literally running away from him. She rolled her eyes. Maybe if she didn’t respond he’d eventually get the hint… “It’s her birthday. I remember. We used to spend this day together every year.”
“We spent a lot of days together, Severus,” she shot back, still looking straight ahead. “Drop the dramatics and get it through your head that I’m not going to forgive you. Not anymore.”
“That’s not why I’m here,” he said, jogging up to her side, so close she could see his hair swaying in her peripheral vision.
Lily dodged into the town market, attempting to throw Severus off her tail. Just as she’d hoped, the shops were bustling on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon, with plenty of patrons to provide her some protection from her pursuer. She swerved through families waiting in line for ice creams, couples picking out furniture, and teenagers loitering around the record store, but Severus managed to keep up at every turn.
“Will you please just talk to me,” he called, his plea so slimy Lily cursed the underage wizarding laws. Oh, the satisfaction a good Bat-bogey hex would bring right about now.
She cut through a narrow shop selling candles and bath soaps, sure that she’d given him the slip, but her heart dropped when he appeared to cut her off at the exit. He grabbed her arm and pulled her towards the alleyway, seemingly dropping any attempt at civility. His hand was cold and tight on her skin as she shook herself free from his grip.
“I saw you with Potter on the Hogwarts express,” Severus sneered, the name Potter like poison on his tongue.
Lily gawked. He chased her halfway through Cokeworth because he saw her talking to James? She knew he hated the Gryffindor boys in their year, but she couldn’t wrap her head around him practically stalking her over one conversation she had weeks ago. The only response she could come up with: “So?”
“So?” he nearly shouted. “How could you possibly even speak to him after what he did to us!”
She had managed to keep her cool. Until now. “What he did to us? Potter didn’t do anything to me, other than act like a bit of a prick- which he apologized for that day on the train, mind you.”
Severus sputtered. “But it’s his fault-”
“That you called me a Mudblood?” That shut him up. While he tried gathering himself to respond, Lily saw her opportunity to bolt. A group of loud football fans passed by and she spun through them to make a run for it.
It felt childish, running through the market at age sixteen, but not nearly as immature as that godawful conversation, so it was a lesser of two evils, really.
She could hear Severus cursing behind her as she searched for an exit, her panic growing as a bloody hen party decided to roost up outside the pub, blocking off the nearest escape route out of the market. With her head clouding from panic at the thought of discussing James freaking Potter with Severus for another minute, Lily made a split- if not uncalculated- decision and leapt over the nearest shop counter. Out of sight, out of mind.
Well, almost.
“If you’re not a cupcake, you don’t belong here.”
Lily looked up from her hiding spot on the bakery stall’s floor at an unphased woman with arched eyebrows and a messy apron. Her nametag read ‘Carla’ in swoopy script with a smiley face sticker that didn’t match the unamused look on her face.
“I’m- er- just trying to hide from my ex,” explained Lily. Whether that be -friend, -boyfriend, or -husband, she let Carla come to her own conclusions.
“Who, greasy?”
“Yes.”
Carla glanced discreetly from Lily’s spot behind the counter to the marketplace ahead and allowed a hint of a grimace to pass over her unbothered expression. “Honey, stay as long as you need.”
“Thank you,” Lily exhaled, and chanced a look through the cupcake display case. To her horror, she saw Severus approaching the bakery, a wild look in his dark eyes.
“Do you need something?” asked Carla and Lily watched disgust wash over Severus’ face at the gall of a Muggle shopkeeper to dare speak to him. “I said do you need something?”
He scoffed, rolled his eyes, and whipped around to look elsewhere.
“I see why you left him,” Carla muttered. She reached under the counter and handed Lily a cupcake with fluffy yellow frosting topped with two eyes and a smile. It matched the sticker on Carla’s nametag and Lily couldn’t help but grin.
“You know what,” said Lily, reaching into her pocket to pull out her Muggle money, “I’ll take a dozen more of these.”
***
Lily sat in her bedroom, curled up with the kitten that afternoon, her window wide open to let in the warm summer breeze. Voices carried from the garden as Petunia and her boyfriend explained to her parents just how difficult it had been to secure a reservation that night at the swankiest restaurant in all of Cokeworth.
“By the way, Mrs. Evans,” said Vernon, his loud voice crashing through Lily’s window, “these cupcakes are delicious. They’re from Sweet Street’s Bakery down at the market, are they not? Not a better spot in all of England, you have excellent taste.”
“Oh,” came her mother’s voice, “I had nothing to do with the cupcakes, actually. It was Lily who picked them out.”
As the shocked silence stretched on, Lily’s smile grew tenfold, wide enough to match the happy face on her own half-eaten cupcake.

fromis_9 favourite pet names!
Masterlist
a/n: my first fromis_9 piece! hope you like it cause I loved writing for them!
Lee Saerom / Saerom
baby
- I don’t know where it started: Saerom being such a big baby or because she loves taking care of you so much but baby has became a staple in your relationship. you both feel that it’s an adorable pet name and you find each others smiles so sweet so it only makes sense that it’s the most used.
- I feel like she really likes animal pet names too, for some reason? she just thinks they’re really cute! names like bunny or even kitten ( ;) ) are common for her too.
Song Hayoung / Hayoung
my dove / little dove
- she loves pet names that amplify your purity. she sees you as a literal gift from the Gods and aims every day to treat you as such what a cheesy romantic. by extension, doves are the symbol of puirty so,, why wouldn’t that be her go to? it just makes sense to her.
- as mentioned, she likes calling you angel but theres also baby and flower. there all delicate and pure names. she thinks they fit you perfectly.
Jang Gyuri / Gyuri
love
- i feel like Gyuri is a big fan of traditional, staple pet names. in her opinion they’re classic for a reason so there’s no need to change what isn’t broken. besides, they’re cute and using them constantly is a reminder to you of the extent of her love.
- dear and baby have similar influences to her so she loves to use those too. she loves your reaction, too.
Park Jiwon
cupcake
- Its inarguable that Jiwon is cheesy and cute as hell- I mean, you’ve seen her aegyo. that behaviour can’t not carry over to how she treats you. aegyo is based on dates and dating so it only makes sense that her pet names are sickeningly sweet.
- she likes jagi / jagiya a lot because of k-dramas- she’s a sucker for romance- but she’s a big fan of sweetie and lovely too.
Roh Jisun / Jisun
jagi
- being excessively cheesy or romantic is simply not Jisung style. she likes simplicity and things that won’t make her blush too much so something as widespread as jagi is perfect for her. if you blush because of it then it’s just a bonus for her, hypocritically. it’s a little ego boost for her if you do.
- she likes other common names like babe and sweetheart. short and sweet like her.
Lee Seoyeon / Seoyeon
baby
- I don't know if it’s her voice or her YG rapper vibes but I feel like she’d love calling you these kind of greasy names. this is partly because of your reaction (I mean, who wouldn’t blush if Seoyeon calls you baby) and partly because I feel like she’d enjoy such cheesy names. she loves a cheesy relationship.
- she also loves babe, cutie, or angel; all for similar reasons: you have a great reaction to it and she thinks it’s precious. she always wants to see you smile.
Lee Chaeyoung / Chaeyoung
cutie
- Chaeyoung lovesss cute nicknames. they’re really fun to her! your reaction is adorable- especially when she uses them in front of her members- and cutie matches everything about you to her. she’s as smooth as butter when it comes to making you flustered.
- any other name that she thinks is cute or makes you blush she uses: sweetheart, cupcake, or even boo bear as a joke. whatever fits.
Lee Nagyung / Nagyung
sweetheart
- there’s something about it that she loves. it’s sweet like you, just cheesy enough to match her boisterous personality, overall it’s fitting for both of you. the first time she used it you blushed the colour of cherries and she hasn’t stopped using it since! there’s something about your blush that gives her so much serotonin. she can’t resist.
- any name you’ve blushed at since then she uses. there’s no limit for her- or shame. anything from kitten to sugarplum just for the reaction.
Baek Jiheon / Jiheon
plays on your name
- I don’t think Jiheon is a fan of pet names. her reaction to cute stuff makes me feel like it’s just not her style. she doesn’t mind you using them though because it’s you and she likes you too much (though if you do use something super cheesy she won’t be able to hold back her cringing).
- her “pet names” are basically just her putting -ie on variations of your name. if she’s feeling really cheesy or in love with you she’ll use jagi though but it’s very rare.

Crescent Chapter 3 Revision Notes
Revised Chapter 3 is out baby, view it on tumblr dont talk to me about the links not working on that post its broken for some reason or ao3! Since this chapter feels like the one most heavily updated, here’s some notes on what was reworked
Removed Roman’s pov from the very beginning and replaced it with Patton’s pov. I made this decision because it felt like it made for a stronger opening. Some of Roman’s beginning inner monologue in the original is reused at the end of the revised chapter
Patton tearing that mugger apart is now 40% more gruesome and descriptive.
Patton’s character is now more rounded out and thoroughly explored imho
Roman, Patton and Logan are now 20% more werewolf in their behavior
Instead of Logan conveniently arriving home for that Dramatic Entrance when Patton finishes telling Roman what’s up, he’s just there and ready to silently disapprove Patton’s choices in life
The Argument at the end between the three is a bit more expanded upon and Patton has a bit more agency in it.
Original Word-Count was 2557, Updated Word-Count is 4574, little over 2k more than the original.
Included below is the original chapter 3 so you can see the differences if you’d like
To be fair, Roman wasn’t surprised when Patton came home a stray in tow. Patton had a heart of gold—there wasn’t a mean bone in his body. He cried easily. He cried when a girl and her dog got separated in a movie, and he cried again when the two were reunited. He couldn’t bear passing by a downed bird, injured and all alone. It was why they now had a flock of ravens that took shelter within the confines of their yard.
Roman knew it was always hard for Patton to let go of the strays after he nursed them back to health. He grew attached to their presences, loved them like they were his own children. But he also knew that they couldn’t really care for pets with their type of lifestyle beyond the wild animals like the ravens that just wouldn’t leave. However, that was alright. A flock of ravens were considered good luck among werewolves.
So the ravens stayed, whilst the others were sent away. Logan always did his best to help situate the animals into loving homes. It made Patton feel better knowing that they went to owners who’d care for them just as much as he did.
What he was surprised about was the…species of the stray Patton brought home.
He heard the door click open, as he worked on his canvas. He didn’t bother glancing up. He didn’t need to use his nose to know it was Patton entering their humble yet magnificent dwelling. It couldn’t be anyone else, but Patton as Logan didn’t get off work this early, and there wasn’t anyone else who had a key to the house.
“Hey, padre!” He greeted, frowning as he redrew the eyes of his sketch, “Did you complete your quest to obtain the chocolate chip cookies with the extra chocolateyness?”
“Oh my goodness,” Patton gasped, “I left the cookies back in the city!”
“What happened? Did you get sidetracked by a baby squirrel again?” Roman chuckled.
He expected Patton to launch into some excited ramble about the cute poor animal he came across, or perhaps amazing scent trail that derailed him from his errand. But instead Patton seemed hesitant to share information.
“Not…exactly.” Patton admitted.
“What do you mean?” Roman finally looked up.
Instead of the kitten or baby bird that Roman expected to find, there was a stranger in Patton’s arms. Small and thin and pale in baggy black clothing. His first thought that must be another werewolf—Patton wouldn’t dare bring a human here, would he? But Roman took one sniff and knew immediately.
There was no mistake about it; Patton had brought a human into the home.
“Patton why is he here?” Roman growled, “He’s a human!”
The older man pressed his lips together, walking past Roman to lay the human on the couch before facing him once more.
“He was in trouble, Roman! He—he was all alone and I couldn’t just leave him—” Patton drew a breath, “Please, let me explain.”
-
To be fair, Patton did not mean to go sniffing out for trouble. He only meant to go sniffing out for cookies after another botched attempt at creating them. As much as he loved making food in the kitchen, baking was not his strong suit. Logan said it was because he wasn’t exact with his measurements. Patton didn’t see how adding more sugar could ruin the recipe that much. He only wanted to make the cookies sweeter, and what’s sweeter than sugar itself?
It was alright though, because that just gave himself an excuse to visit Thomas. He let his nose take all the way downtown to the Piece of Cake bakery. The bell jangled as he bounced in, grinning around at the pastel interior of the bakery. He took a deep breath in, letting the sweet scents of the desserts invade his nose.
“Hi Patton! What’ll it be today?” Thomas asked, giving a friendly wave from his place at the counter.
“Thomas! It’s so good to see you!” Patton squealed, reaching over the counter to give the man a hug.
The man let out a surprised yelp, but eagerly returned the hug just the same. He learned by now that Patton often to forgot to ask before he invaded people’s personal spaces in his rush to lavish them with affection.
“Opps sorry,” Patton gave a bashful grin as he withdrew from the hug, “I was just excited to see you! It’s been so long since I’ve seen you!”
“Patton, it’s only been like three days,” Thomas laughed.
“I know, but still.” Patton pouted.
The two made friendly conversation as Patton picked out his order. It wasn’t until another customer came into the bakery that the two exchanged their goodbyes, and Patton made his departure.
He hummed cheerfully, swinging the bag of cookies with each stride. Occasionally at intersections he took a moment to open the bag and smell the delicious sugary delights. Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodles, Sugar Cookies—the scents tickled his nose with glee.
Patton loved scents—they often told the truth more often than someone else’s words or his own eyes could. He was happy he could always trust his nose when his other senses failed him. He couldn’t imagine not being able to smell! He’d rather give up his sight or his hearing than not being able to smell the comforting presences of his packmates.
Once, Logan revealed to him that humans couldn’t smell as well as their kind. Patton cried for fifteen minutes straight after that.
“Why are you crying?” Logan asked, awkwardly patting Patton’s back, “Humans’ sense of smell may be feeble compared to ours, but they have been able to survive just fine with it the way that it is. Besides, it is not as if they know the difference.”
“Exactly!” Patton sobbed harder, “They’ll never know how—how wonderful smell is.”
Logan sighed.
“Would it help any to say as a former human, that I now know how wonderful a heightened sense of smell can be?”
“A little.” Patton sniffled.
The crosswalk switched from an angry red hand to the cute walking stick figure that signaled it was the pedestrians turn to walk. The crowd surged forward, a few people bumping into Patton’s shoulder as they passed by him.
“Oh!” He looked up from the bag, spying the crosswalk signal. He covered up the bag once more and hurried across the crosswalk.
It was a long walk to the outskirts of the city where Roman, Logan and Patton lived, but he much preferred it over taking the car. As much as he enjoyed driving, he didn’t enjoy that thick traffic that left him antsy in the seat knowing he could walk faster than how fast the car was crawling across the interstate. When there wasn’t traffic clogging the streets, the car whipped by faster than Patton’s liking.
He took the idiom “stop and smell the roses” literally. Patton enjoyed walking because of the journey. He loved hearing the chatter out of the bustling city, the wind rustling his hair, seeing the various sights that the city had to offer. Not to mention the smells. While some scents like gasoline could be nauseating to smell, there was scents like—pizza. Greasy breading baked with tomato sauce and cheese with a variety of toppings. His stomach grumbled in agreement.
As if in a trance, Patton’s feet led him in the direction of a nearby pizzeria. It wasn’t until he was a block away from the restaurant that he realized how far off he deviated from the walk home. He needed to walk north, not inwards towards the heart of the city. As much as his mouth watered for pizza, he already prepared a delicious meal at home. He would have to save pizza for another day. Perhaps he could even make homemade pizza! He hadn’t tried that doing that yet.
It was hard to suppress his urge to chase after every wonderful scent that infiltrated his nose, however. The closer he came towards home, the more overwhelming it became. When Patton had been younger, it was harder for him to ignore the urges to chase after the scents. Flowers, perfume, the smell of Asian food wafting in the air from a nearby restaurant—it enticed and overwhelmed him.
He chased the scents, curious to see where they led. Often, he found himself in trouble from sticking his nose where it didn’t belong. After spending his childhood largely isolated from the human world, he had been ignorant of appropriate manners among humans. For example, humans often took offense if you smelled them. Whereas werewolves had very little sense of personal space. Something that could be found inherent in Patton by how he heaped affection on people within five seconds of meeting them.
Patton knew better now. He recognized he couldn’t gleefully chase each scent without abandon. He had a responsibility to look after the needs of the others. If Patton didn’t remind the two workaholics when to eat, he wasn’t sure who else would.
Gotta focus, gotta focus, gotta focus. The mantra ran through his mind repeatedly. He opened the bag of cookies once more, taking a deep whiff to remind himself of his mission. The rich chocolate, cinnamon goodness and fear reminded him that he can’t wait to share them with the others—wait.
Patton paused in the middle of the sidewalk, causing the person behind him to grumble in frustration. Fear? That can’t be right. That scent doesn’t belong with a cookie but rather—a living being. He scanned the bustling crowd who traveled down the sidewalk as usual. The scent of increased perspiration clung to the air, how could the humans just ignore it? Could they not smell it?
He didn’t stay put to find out. There’s no question in his mind whether if he should not follow this scent. His heart pounded, as he dashed after the scent. He trusted his nose to lead him to the source.
“Opps, Excuse me! Sorry!” He called out, apologizing to disgruntled pedestrians as he tore through the foot traffic. His large, hulking figure was perfect at plowing through the crowd—no one wanted to get trampled by a 6’2 man.
He skidded around a corner, the scent leading him to the entrance of a winding, dark alleyway. There lay a sight that angered him. A large burly human held a gun against a smaller one, who shook badly from terror.
Patton let out a low growl, too upset to say anything intelligible. His claws came out as he launched himself at the mugger, tearing him away from the small human. A shot rang out from his gun, and Patton could only hope it didn’t hit the human on the ground. The mugger attempted pointing his gun towards Patton, but he ripped the weapon out of his hand and onto the ground.
The mugger made a frantic scramble after it, but Patton pinned him to the ground. He sunk his claws into the man, and only let go when the man went limp.
He breathed in deeply, forcing himself to relax. His instincts screamed at him to remain on guard. But the danger had passed, and he needed to make sure the small human was okay. He was ignorant of a lot of things about humans, but he did know they could be easily frightened by his more wolfish appearance. The last thing he wanted was to scare the poor guy even further. As soon as he morphed back into a humanoid appearance, his focus went immediately to the small human—his eyes widening in concern at their collapsed figure.
“Are you alright?!” He called out as he rushed to their side. Their head lolled backwards, signaling that they had gone unconscious.
A surge of protectiveness took over him as he immediately gathered the human in his embrace. He can’t help but marvel over how small and fragile the human looked! He must have been the runt in his litter. The human wore a raggedy black hoodie and ripped jeans with scuffed up converse. His face was too thin to be healthy, and those circles underneath his eyes! If the poor thing didn’t faint from fright, he certainly fainted from exhaustion.
He gasped upon seeing the bandages wrapped around the human’s hands. The skin underneath looked red and swollen, indicating it was a fresh wound. The human’s hair was glistened with sweat. Patton pressed a hand against his forehead and nearly flinched at how warm it felt. He shouldn’t feel this warm…humans shouldn’t feel this warm, right?
Patton snuck a glance towards the mugger, and immediately withheld the urge to vomit. The wounds looked deeper than Patton had initially thought and although the mugger was still breathing, it might not be for long. Patton was a lover not a fighter. The thought that he could be this man’s cause of death was haunting. But as he looked back down at the runt, he didn’t regret it. The mugger had threatened an innocent life, and Patton wasn’t going to stand there and watch it happen.
That was also the reason why he couldn’t just leave the human, alone and unconscious, in the alley alone with the bleeding-out stranger that tried to kill him. If someone came across him, he’d be an easy meal. He had to take the human somewhere safe. The only thing is, Patton had no way of knowing where he lived. He had no way of tracking down his home. It was nearly impossible to distinguish a scent from the hundreds of millions of aromas existing in the city air.
A scream interrupted his thoughts. Patton looked up to see a woman staring from the entrance of the alleyway, covering up her mouth in horror. Patton’s mind came to a screeching halt as his instincts screamed a singular command at him. Run.
This was not a time to attempt explaining the situation. His nerves were shot, and he was afraid of what was going to befall on the human. Would the other humans see how sick and small he was and attempted to finish what the mugger started? He couldn’t let this small human go through any more pain than he already had. Not now he was here. He scooped up the human in his arms, sprinting into through the sidewalks of the city.
He ran as fast as his feet would carry him, afraid that police sirens would be after him at any moment. Patton was fast, but not fast enough to outrun a car. Especially while carrying the human, despite how worryingly light he was.
Patton, being paranoid, took detours—attempting to throw off any would-be pursuers off his trail. When he finally reached the porch of the house, he almost collapsed from exhaustion. The human let out a cry in his sleep, and Patton stroked his hair.
“Shhh,” He said, “You’re safe now.”
The human unconsciously leaned into the touch, completely relaxing in Patton’s hold. The werewolf’s heart melted even further. If Patton’s heart was a popsicle, it was now a puddle of sugary sweet liquid.
As he sat on the porch, the human lying draped across his lap, he started to realize that Logan and Roman probably wouldn’t be happy with this arrangement. But Patton wasn’t going to abandon him, even if he was a human!
Which was why, he was now pleading to let the human stay with them.
“Please Roman, he needs help, I couldn’t just leave him all like that!” Patton begged, “Please don’t tell Logan—not yet, at least.”
“Tell Logan, what?”
Logan stood in the door frame, arms crossed as he stared down at the unconscious form of the human on the couch. Patton gulped.
He did not look happy.
“Hi Logan,” Patton chuckled nervously.
“What is he doing here?” Logan gestured to the human, “He shouldn’t be here, Patton. Do you remember what happened last time we let a human in our house?”
“This—this is different,” Patton insisted, “He needs us!”
“He needs to go!” Roman burst, clenching his fists.
Logan turned to look at Patton.
“Explain.” He said, and Patton did.
He repeated the same story as he had with Roman, with a few occasional interruptions by Logan who reminded him to stick the facts and not stray off into tangents. Once he finished, Logan sighed and pinched his nose between his fingers.
“So, what I’m hearing is that you panicked and weren’t thinking straight.”
Roman snorted. “Patton doesn’t think straight—ever.”
“I couldn’t just leave him all alone like that! What if he got attacked again?” Patton huffed.
“You could’ve left him at a police station or taken him to the hospital if you were worried about his health.”
Now that he thought about it, those might’ve been better options. Logan had always been good at figuring out more rational solutions to problems than Patton. But it didn’t change the fact that the tiny human was here now and needed their help.
“He needs a pack, Logan. And I know you know how to care for sick humans!”
Logan raised an eyebrow, “Patton, humans are social creatures, I’m sure he has packmates of his own who are concerned by his disappearance. There’s also no telling how he would react once discovering our true nature. We should take him to the hospital.”
Patton frowned. He hadn’t taken in consideration that the small human might already have packmates. If he did, Patton didn’t think they were good packmates based on the human’s malnourished appearance.
“We don’t have to tell him about the pack. But we can’t just leave him alone in the hands of strangers, Logan! We should care for him until we find out where his packmates are.”
Roman glanced between the two like a child observing an argument between their parents unfold in front of them.
Logan said nothing, reaching downwards to feel the human’s forehead.
“His temperature is unusually warm,” He noted, “We should take his jacket off—to help cool down his temperature.”
Patton’s eyes widened.
“Does that mean—”
“Yes, he can stay,” Logan said before clarifying, “only until he’s no longer ill.”
Roman’s eyes flashed angrily.
“Wh—”
“Patton, can you go prepare the spare bedroom for the human?” Logan interrupted.
“Of course!” Patton beamed as he scurried out.
As soon as Patton left the room, Roman turned to face Logan.
“Do I have no say in this?” Roman spluttered indignantly, “Am I the only one who thinks this is a bad idea? It’s a human, Logan. A. Human.”
“A human who is physically weaker, underfed and feverish compared to us. While it would be optimal to take him to a hospital, you and I both know about how attached Patton gets to…strays. I theorize he’s able to pack-bond more easily with other species than us.”
“Look, I don’t want to hurt Patton’s feelings as much you do, but we should put the safety of the pack first.”
“I did consider the safety of the pack in my decision making. This is a compromise—we’ll look after the human for long as he’s sick in exchange for Patton promising to return him to his friends and family,” Logan explained, “Who knows? The human might even want to leave early.”
He walked towards his study before turning to glance back at Roman.
“Make no mistake. I know how dangerous humans can be; I was once one myself, Roman, and I have no intentions of harboring the delusion of keeping one in our home any longer than necessary.”

Thoughts on Chris being very, very into Seb's long hair (in or out of the bedroom-- I'm not picky)? I was just thinking like them just discovering that Seb loves when Chris pets his hair (in a domestic way this time lmao) and them like cuddling or something idk, but like Chris strokes his hair and he ends up falling asleep like that??
Okay I loooove this! 💞 I definitely have thoughts on Chris being very into Sebastian’s long hair… A lot of those thoughts are not quite so wholesome, so I’ll save those for another ask I got, but what you said made me think of 2013 long haired Seb, when he was a gorgeous greasy vampire twink at San Diego Comic Con, and Chris was big and blond and beautiful.
What I’m imagining is that sometime during filming for TWS, the cast decided to have a movie night - you know, just some team bonding (not that they really needed it, but it was fun so everyone was up for it). So they’re all hanging around at one of the rental places they’re staying at, having a few beers and some snacks and watching the Terminator movies or something. This is before Chris and Seb acknowledged their feelings to each other, but of course the boys are always gravitating towards each other, and they ended up sitting next to each other on a couch. After a while, Sebastian starts nodding off a bit. He’s had a few early mornings and didn’t really get enough sleep, so the couple of beers hit him hard and he just sort of sags into Chris’s side a little. Which Chris is absolutely fine with that of course.... More than fine. So he just sits very still and represses the urge to do the yawn and stretch and drape his arm over Sebastian’s shoulder, although he really, really wants to do that.
But eventually, Sebastian literally almost falling asleep where he sits, so Chris is like, “Hey, maybe lie down for a bit? There’s plenty of space” and Seb is like “Hmm yeah, okay” and lies down on his side, with his head in Chris’s lap. And Chris… was not expecting that. So at first, he just sits there, frozen, his heart going haywire and not having a clue what to do with his hands, so they kind of hover awkwardly in the air for a moment. Sebastian seems unaware of Chris’s inner turmoil and keeps watching the movie through half-lidded eyes, but a strand of his long hair keeps falling down and he keeps blowing it out of his eyes, but it never stays. Chris watches this strange little routine for a while, mesmerized, before suddenly his hand just reaches out of its own accord and brushes the strand back before Seb can blow at it again. And then, of course, Chris freezes some more, this time with his hand on Seb’s head. But Sebastian just makes an appreciative sound and doesn’t flinch or anything, so Chris thinks it’s probably alright? Right..?
So then, he very, very slowly starts brushing back Seb’s hair from his forehead, sort of petting him and then Sebastian starts making content little noises, and sort of pushing his head into Chris’s palm, like an overgrown kitten or a puppy and Chris’s heart does an entire gymnastic routine in his chest. He forces himself to ask “This okay?” in a low murmur, because he doesn’t want to make Seb uncomfortable, and Sebastian just sort of purrs “hmyeah, ’s nice”, so Chris keeps going. After a while he even starts running his fingers through the chestnut strands, untangling them, slowly, steadily petting Sebastian, until Seb’s eyes flutter closed and his breathing evens out and he’s actually fallen asleep. In Chris’s lap. And Chris is so busy staring down at him with stars in his eyes, feeling all kinds of blessed at Sebastian trusting him enough to literally fall asleep on him, that he doesn’t even notice how everyone around him is nudging each other and smiling at the little scene – and in Scarlett and Mackie’s case, exchanging some dollar bills...
And let’s be honest, doesn’t that lap look all kinds of inviting? 😉

Can you please write about the first time Harry takes Draco out into the muggle world for an outing and how Draco is absolutely enamored with everything they run across like muggle films and fast food?
“This is amazing,” Draco moans.
“That’s what you’ve said about everything,” Harry says; his cheeks hurt from smiling too much, but he can’t stop. His boyfriend might actually be the most adorable thing in existence.
“Because it’s true!” Draco says. His tongue peeks out the corner of his mouth in concentration as he picks up another greasy chip, trying not to let it slip from his fingers. Harry has to bite back his amusement at how evidently unfamiliar Draco is to eating without cutlery.
They’ve spent the entire day in Muggle London - originally, Harry had only planned a quick trip to the grocery store-turned date because he’d gotten back from his three month long auror mission and missed his boyfriend and had no food, because despite living together for six months Draco still has no idea how or where to go grocery shopping - and soon Harry had realized he had to hold Draco’s hand to keep him from wondering away because of literally anything.
Draco got excited over the pastry isle, the candy isle, the seeing-eye dog a woman had with her - it’s like a Crup Harry!. Harry had had to stop him from petting it and explained that he couldn’t while the dog was working, which Draco had understood perfectly, but, of course, his excitement hadn’t ended there. After they’d gotten out of the grocery store - which took way, way longer than Harry has ever taken in a grocery store - and began walking back to Harry’s place, Draco had been curious about everything, and so Harry had introduced him to street food. Fish and chips, more specifically.
“I can’t believe I’ve gone this long without knowing Muggle things are the best,” Draco says. “Why didn’t you tell me, Harry?”
Harry wants to point out that he tried, but Draco doomed all muggle things as ‘stupid’ the fourth time he tried to duel Harry’s toaster for scaring him in the morning.
Harry had nearly died laughing then.
“If you’re interested, we can catch a film after this.” He says instead, thoroughly enjoying their day together. “I’m sure there’s something interesting on.”
“What’s a film?” Draco asks, and, before Harry can answer, Draco looks past him and his eyes glaze over in the way they do whenever he catches sight of something he really, really likes.
Without another word, Draco stands from their table and walks across the street - several cars and buses stopping to avoid hitting him - and Harry has to leave money on the table before chasing after him, heart in his throat.
“Draco!” He says, when he catches up to him, grabbing him by the arm. “You can’t do that! You could’ve been run over, are you-”
“Harry, look,” And, in that moment, Draco’s voice sounds so utterly enamored that Harry has to look where Draco’s looking, and straight at a ball of fur.
Upon closer inspection, Harry realizes that it’s not a ball of fur, but actually a very small cat. A kitten, probably, with patches of its hair pointing at every direction and a very, very pink tongue peeking out of its mouth.
“Do you want her?” A girl asks excitedly. She’s only twelve or so, and holding a big sign that says ‘free kittens’. “I’ve been trying to set her off with someone for ages, but people don’t want to take her because she’s black, and that’s bad luck and all.”
Draco looks at the girl, and then at the kitten, which has woken up and is now staring at them with huge green eyes. She meows lightly, and lifts a paw towards Draco, and Draco makes a sound that lets Harry know that he’s already lost this fight.
“Can we take her?” Draco looks at Harry, eyes huge, and Harry already knows how this is going to go down. “Please, Harry, look at her! She’s so gorgeous, and small, and oh, I love her!”
“She’s going to need a lot of care,” Harry tries, still. “And our apartment’s not that big, and I’m away a lot, and-”
“I’ll take care of her, I promise!” Draco swears quickly. “I’ll learn - I’ll even go to the grocery store by myself!” Harry can’t avoid an amused smile at the thought of how that will go down. “And I’ll walk her, and rock her, and love her for all my life. Alright?”
Draco’s pouting up at him - Harry can’t resist him when he pouts like that - but he still hesitates, because a pet is a huge responsibility, and Draco is not known for being the most attentive. Harry has seen him forget to eat because he gets immersed in potions he’s working on, he doesn’t know how he’ll be with a pet.
“Look at it,” Draco is holding the kitten now, and he holds her up so Harry can see her butt. “She’s missing one of her tails.”
“One of her tails?” Harry hears the girl ask, and he laughs nervously.
“Inside joke,” He says awkwardly, and Draco frowns. The muggle girl doesn’t know that Kneazles have two tails, and Draco doesn’t know that muggle cats don’t, so Harry has to get them away from each other as soon as possible. “Right, we’ll take her.”
“Thank you!” The girl says excitedly. “I’m sure she’ll be very happy with you.”
Harry hopes so. He’s not really a cat person - he loves dogs way more, and cats are a little too independent for his taste - but he is - very much - a Draco person, and, seeing the expression on his boyfriend’s face, he thinks this’ll be worth it.
“Alright,” Harry tells him, wrapping an arm around his waist and kissing his shoulder while Draco cuddles the kitten to his cheek. “But next week we get a dog.”
Draco presses a kiss to his cheek, and Harry grabs his chin and turns his head, pressing a deep kiss to his mouth before he can pull away. When they do, Draco’s cheeks are red, but he looks pleased.
“Alright,” He says softly. Then, “Look at us. Forming a family and all.”
Harry can’t help but laugh.

Alicia agreed to meet him that same night, and he tried to be presentable, and though he couldn't hide the alcohol on his breath, he was miraculously clean. That was thanks to the girls, of course, he hadn't had a second to snort coke with all their attention and literal begging. His sister was out on a job– Healy had given them the name of the low level thug who stole Porsche. Kennedy belonged to Jason Micic's organization, but Alicia discovered the boy usually did his own jobs. Diego met her just a few miles from his place and watched her work. His presence seemed to make Jason's Right Hand man nervous.
"Look miss," he had been calling her 'lady' sarcastically before he noticed Diego lurking around in the shadows, "I hear what you're saying and I promise we're gonna fix it. By this time tomorrow, nobody's ever gonna know that kid's name."
"Good." Alicia took a drag from her cigarette and held out a hand. The man reached out to shake it, but she snatched his wrist and put the cherry out on his forearm. He screamed, lurching his arm out of her grasp and gaining a few claw marks in the process. "Make sure it never happens again, claro?"
They left him cradling his arm and stalked over to the alleyway of a greasy midnight diner. Diego held the door open for her, instructing her guard with a look to wait outside (his guard did the same). Alicia picked a booth in the back and ordered whiskey and fries– the very mention of which made Diego's stomach growl.
"What do you want, Diego?" Alicia was stoic, already a note of disappointment fell from her voice as if she expected something childish.
He took a deep breath to collect himself.
"I'm sorry, sister," he said. She raised an eyebrow, but he continued, "I've been reckless and stupid and I almost got us caught because of it. You said those fucking pigs wouldn't have had anything on us except for my gun, and I can't let that happen again. So until we cross the border… no more coke."
Alicia was, understandably, surprised. "No more coke? You think you can handle that, Diego?"
His eyes were hard as stone– determined. "For us? Yes."
His sister relaxed into the red cushions of the booth. Her eyes searched his– for mockery, for tricks, for falsehoods– until her jaw tightened and some raw expression flashed that Diego didn't know how to read.
"On our mother's grave," he vowed. The trust Alicia was giving him now could not be squandered. It filled him with determination and a desire to be redeemed in her head. On our mother's grave.
She hugged him. After sitting in perfect, tense silence while he ate all the fries and took a sip of her whiskey, as they were walking back out the door, she hugged him. He felt like a kid again. He felt like he had when their mother had passed away. Those were the only times she had hugged her brother, and it left him feeling raw and exposed like a nerve ending. His head drifted as he drove home and he swiped a tear from his cheek.
I can do this, he decided. For us.
It was nearly dawn by the time he got back to the penthouse. The cityscape was always bright at night, but there were a few precious hours in the evening and the morning when enough lights went out that made the city feel truly peaceful. Diego slipped into bed, barely managing to kick off his shoes before falling asleep watching the flurries of driven snow fly past his window.
~
Someone was jiggling the doorknob. Diego had just enough strength to turn his head and look at the clock to read the time was 5:40 AM. The door to his bedroom opened violently as someone fell in. He lifted his head groggily and recognized the pretty kitten heels hanging from the brown arm with a death grip on the door knob. Jazmine pulled herself up with great difficulty, swaying on her feet like a drunk and slowly maneuvering the door to close behind her. Her half lidded eyes landed on Diego and she smiled.
"Hey." She sounded hoarse and slurred. "I didn't think you'd actually be here…"
Diego groaned and rubbed the sleep from his eyes, trying to sit up just a bit. "You asked me to be here. What do you want?"
Something like sickness flashed over her face but only for a second. Her brow smoothed with determination and she sauntered with purpose to the side of his bed. Jazmine pulled his hair lightly and elicited a grunt from him.
"I saw Haagen last night," she sighed. "When I left, I got a cab and got drunk and… well, here I am."
Diego had a hard time focusing on her words, what with the gentle petting of his hair causing distraction, but he understood the unspoken story hidden between the lines. He rested a hand on top of her thigh and felt her twitch under his touch but not away from it.
"If you're not too tired…" Her soft hand slid down, down, down. Stroking over the side of his neck and the open collar of his shirt, caressing his chest and pressing into the plain of his stomach until it mirrored his own touch on her thigh. She even gave him a squeeze which caused him to twitch as she had. "I could use a nice massage."
Diego felt himself smirk involuntarily. She had his blood pumping now and pushing out the grogginess of a near sleepless night. He squeezed her back in answer but made no move to sit up or do anything else.
On Jazmine's part, she couldn't take her eyes off of the man. There was something about the calmness and the plain white shirt that made him seem altogether a different man. He didn't look like a drug lord right now– he looked like somebody's husband. Maybe even somebody's dad. She could put that thought to good use…
"You like roleplaying, Diego?" His eyes had drifted shut but one opened curiously. "I can start."
"Every girl likes doctor and nurse," he mumbled almost to himself.
Jazmine shook her head. "I've got something else in mind."
She stood up and tossed her shoes to the side. Only as she was taking it off did Diego notice she was wearing a t-shirt over her dress (in his defense, they were the same color). What she wore beneath was modest, something she could pass off in a church, which was a far cry from the little number she had worn to the club. Jazmine started her story by removing his belt with an agonizingly slow pace.
"You," she said, tapping the buckle, "are a 9 to 5 office jockey who loves his parents and makes a decent living wage."
"So sexy," he drawled sarcastically.
"And I–" she ripped the belt from the loops of his pants eagerly and in one motion, "– am your wife."
Diego's voice dropped. "Keep going."
"I take care of the kids and our three story suburban house." She unbuttoned his pants with one hand, struggling and constantly bumping into his junk just to drive him crazy. "And we're so busy with everything we haven't had time to ourselves since our second kid. But guess what?"
The button finally popping forced air out of Diego's lung, and he pulled his pants down himself as he became impatient. Jazmine was intent on keeping control and straddled his hips with force. His hands found their way up her skirt with ease and he fingered the strap of her panties as he waited for the other shoe to drop. "It's their first day of kindergarten."
Diego's lust addled brain took a second to catch up. It was harder to do with her warm core putting pressure on his hardening cock, but he managed, and when he did he cocked an eyebrow at her. "Are you saying we haven't had sex in five years?"
Jazmine hummed. She ground down on his hips, and he couldn't help but buck into her, feeling rock hard and ready. The woman slipped into her role like she was born to it, donning a face of longing with just a pouting lip.
"I've missed you so much, baby..."
God, he could not wait to get naked– this would just have to do. Diego sat up until he was chest to chest with 'his wife' and slipped his hands into his boxers to free his cock from its confines. Jazmine wrapped her arms around his shoulders and held onto him for dear life as he pushed her panties to the side and slipped a finger in.
"So wet, baby," he groaned, "estas listo?"
American girls loved hearing his Spanish and Jazmine was no different judging by the way she shuddered. He had to do everything by feeling since she refused to let go of him. She slid onto his cock like she belonged there, and although it was truthfully the first time, it felt like the first in a long time.
Jazmine gasped when he finally bottomed out. Without a condom, she could feel every single vein and ridge of his thick length wedged into her pussy, and just the slightest movement caused the greatest sensations. Diego's warm breath fanned over her chest and she wished she could reach the zipper on the back of the dress to offer her nipples to him. He was content, it seemed, to try and taste them from the outside, and she squeezed his cock as a reward.
"Oh fuck me."
It wasn't meant as a request but Diego obliged her nonetheless. He gripped the soft curves between her hips and her waist and used them to bounce her in his lap, not too fast and not too deep, limited by the position but also like he wanted to keep her close to him. His watering mouth soaked through her dress and her lacy bra and when he pulled away to attack the other it left the last cold.
The sweet burn of Diego's ministrations allowed Haagen's to wash away like footprints on a sandy beach. All that mattered now was Diego, and the unexpectedly tender way he fucked her like she really was the mother of his children. It made her ache where it shouldn't have, deep in her chest, but she didn't fight it and soon the tightening coil in her core won over her attention.
Diego moaned with his mouth still on her and Jazmine keened in response, wrapping her fingers in his hair and dragging his head up to look at her. His pupils were blown wide but the light from the window still illuminated the deep brown ring of his eyes in a way that was so hypnotic she couldn't look away.
His lip curled (of course) and the unhinged mischief of his former self shone through. "Want another..."
She couldn't tell if it was a question for her or a statement from him. He kept her bouncing on his cock as his eyes drifted down to her mouth and back up again. Every time she came down it was harder and deeper than before as she let her whole weight crash into him. "Put another baby in you, huh, muñeca? Make it three…"
That should not have been as hot as it was. Jazmine whined involuntarily and put both of her hands on his chest to push him onto his back, stalling their impeccable rhythm for a second as she basked in how deep his dick really went.
He could do it. For real– his cock was naked in her pussy and he had the length to do it better than most. Oh fuck, it's curved, she thought, wishing she was fucking him the other way around. Can't stop now. Can't wait.
Jazmine began to ride Diego and listened to all the filthy things that fell from his lips. No wonder I married you.
"Yeah, querida? You like this dick? Want me to cum inside and paint a pretty picture?"
"Yesss," she hissed. "Oh god. Fuck…"
"That's it, mama, keep fucking yourself. Don't need my help, do you? Got it all figured out. Put a baby in you and watch you grow again…"
Jazmine gasped, she was so close, hanging right on the edge. "Fuck, daddy…"
She didn't even know she'd said the magic word, but the pair came together, and hard. Diego's grip on her waist was bruising and merciless, he filled her up with all he had and then some, and just to make it extraordinary, he made her hips grind into him for good measure. Jazmine's mouth dropped low and saliva dribbled out and dripped into his shirt, her hands tearing a button off as her pussy clenched down on his pulsating cock for a true flood. She was seeing stars when the torrent of endorphins finally drew back, and she collapsed onto his chest, boneless and gasping for air.
When their breathing had finally slowed down, Jazmine moved just enough of her weight to make them both comfortable without adding distance– for her sake as much as his. There was sweat cooling in the small of her back, Diego’s chest rose and fell beneath her head, and the memory of Haagen faded away like static on a television set.
“So,” Diego hummed, “I take it that was a bit of a fantasy of yours, eh?”
Jazmine’s brow furrowed. “What do you mean? Three kids, a house, and a spouse?” She thought about it for a moment and shrugged, “doesn’t everyone, in their own way?”
“Yeah, I guess you’re right.”
"I will admit it was probably most definitely brought on by this," she plucked at his white shirt, smirking with pride at the missing button and pocketing it in her drenched bra. "You look like… well I don't know exactly but this shirt screams normal and I figured you couldn't possibly own something like that."
Diego hummed but offered no explanation for the unusual attire. He could probably go incognito through a crowd and never be seen with that thing. Now uncomfortable, Jazmine sat up and flung off her dress, admiring the red handprints on her sides. She lay back down into his embrace and chuckled.
"What?"
She started drawing circles on his chest with a finger. “I wasn’t sure you could get off without, you know, an audience.”
Diego shrugged his shoulders (jostling her head in the process) and she could hear the smile in his voice when he said, “of course I can come without an audience. It’s a preference, not a medical condition.”
“Oh right, sure. Sure.” The warm hand on her back began to slide, tracing up her sides and just short of cupping her face, she felt his fingers graze her earlobe. A groan of irritation ripped through her throat. “I guess you did get an audience after all.”
“What’s that supposed to mean exactly?”
Jazmine took her sweet time answering him as she rolled up and over top of him to get to the other side of the bed and to touch the room light remote on the nightstand. Now brighter in the slick black design of Diego’s bedroom, she leaned over him on her elbow and pointed.
Directly at her fake hearing aid.
Diego stared for a moment before his cheeks puffed and he blew a raspberry trying to hold his laugh. It exploded from his chest like a bark and his entire body curled into it, which in turn warmed Jazmine to join in. For as cool and unbothered as Agent Healy portrayed himself, there was no way he could have been able to ignore the sounds on the other end of the listening device by the sheer volume of the activities on the receiver.
Ever the exhibitionist, Jazmine was not surprised to find Diego’s hand pressing into the back of her neck to draw her closer. She rolled her eyes when he leaned forward to speak directly into the microphone, “like what you heard, Healy?”
The answer came in an instant. Just as Jazmine was debating whether to settle back into the bed or to get up, Diego’s phone rang. The man was having far too much fun as he pushed her under him and reached for the nightstand even though she was closer. His knee fell between her sensitive thighs as he checked the screen. Despite everything, he still looks at her with disbelief as Healy’s contact glares back at him.
Healy’s voice sounded somehow right coming from a speaker. It matched the sometimes robotic way he delivered them lines about his purpose or his plan. “Yes, Mr. Jimenez, I am always on the edge of my seat when you make a pass at my informant.”
The expression only flashes for a second across his face, but for a moment Diego looked as uncomfortable as Jazmine felt. It was strange, knowing the name and the face of the person who was surveilling you. Knowing they hear everything all of the time and forgetting, only to remember and wonder if you’ve done something to warrant the shame and embarrassment that floods through you upon recollection. Jazmine was more often than not completely unaware of the thing until it beeped its death notes. She would have to remember to set a schedule for charging it every night, as Healy had suggested before.
“It’s fascinating the things people get up to when they think they’re alone,” Healy continued, “but if it is any consolation to you, Miss. Mann, I am accustomed to turning a blind eye– or ear, I suppose– to your nonessential activities.”
Well at least that was something. Diego hung up (or Healy did, she wasn’t paying attention), then turned to look her in the eye with a mischievous glint.
“What?”
“Jazz Mann.”
“Shut the– I’m going to fucking strangle you.”
~~~~~
Alrighty, I think this was pretty successful! But know that it’s all downhill from here (OK, mostly downhill from here).
I’m gonna post another except from my cronus fic bc i am very happy with it so far. This takes place earlier on in the story than the christmas scenes.
“Hey kitten, back for more?” Of course Cronus was the one to greet you when you knocked on the door. “Couldn’t resist coming back? Can’t say I blame ya chief, you got me feeling all kinds of red.” He gave you a lopsided grin, waggling his eyebrows and resting on the door frame, blocking your entry. “I know you’re here to help Eri with his math or some shit, but think about how fun it’d be to give me some lessons on your human biology.”
His euphemism was very thinly disguised, but given that your degree was literally in microbiology and his wording was ambiguous you figured you could probably con him out of a few hundred bucks to give him an actual lesson in biology. You were about to answer him, but he beat you to it.
“And by biology I mean getting down to concupiscent business. You, me, and a bucket.” God you hate him. You hate him so much. You hate him to the point of violence. And something very petty and angry rears its head. “Don’t worry babe we can take it slow, make a night of it-”
“I’m not here for you.” You interrupted him, keeping your face as level and disinterested as possible. “Where is Eridan?”
Cronus faltered for a moment, a scowl twisting his his pretty lips, clicking his tongue he stepped away from the door. “Way to ruin a fucking mood.”
And that disgusted petty creature in you couldn’t help but mutter, “It was ruined the moment I saw your face.”
You crossed the threshold and headed to their dining room where you sat down and prepared for the tutoring session, the greasy little sea-troll following closely behind you.
“I have to admit I wasn’t really feeling a pitch way about you, but doll you know I can make it work.” He sat next to you, far, far too close. His hand on your shoulder, fingers uncomfortably close to your neck, was the last straw.
You had no idea what sort of stupid troll shit he was talking about, but you wanted no part of it.
“I am already happily in a relationship.”
“Sounds to me like you have-”
“CRONUS! Stop hittin on my tutor! They ain’t interested in your desperate bass!” Ah, your classist little gremlin of a charge to the rescue. He shoved Cronus out of the seat before claiming the spot as his own. “Go away! You’re distractin’ us from highly important business. Not that you could ever understand what that’s about.”
Cronus glared up at him from the floor before standing up and shoving his hands in his pockets. “I hope you know you’re at the top of the list of the objectively worst people I know, Eridan. The absolute peak on that monumental list you bulge-blocking lil shit.”
she’s my kind of rain. (f)
☙ pairing: shouto x reader
☙ theme: kiss in the rain
☙ cw/tw: profanity, tooth rotting fluff, shouto in love
☙ a/n-request: So, in replacement of that Shouto smut from forever ago (which I scrapped), I wrote this at like 2am after hearing 'She's My Kind of Rain by Tim McGraw' and immediately imagining Shouto being so in love. So yeah - hope you enjoy!
Shouto watched closely as you ate your meal. Gazed at the piece of hair that fell in your face and how your fingers delicately tucked it behind your ear. How your white teeth gleamed as you talked about something funny that happened at work. When you took a sip of orange juice, his two-toned eyes drifted down to watch the tip of your tongue lick your pink lips clean. All night he was enamored even if you were sitting in a cozy dinner at 2am in casual warm clothes, but it wasn’t just tonight.
No. It was every day, every night. Every second, minute and hour.
The two of you had been dating a little over six months but Shouto had already fallen hard for you since the beginning. He had never been so smitten by someone before and he never expected to be if he were being honest. The hero planned on living his life without a companion. If he wanted to be the number one hero, he didn’t really have time to mess around with ‘love’. That all changed the day he bumped into you at a coffee shop, of all places like some romcom. To be even more cliche he’d described it as love at first sight because it was automatic. Like something flickered in his brain upon seeing your face, how your cheeks flushed and rose to make the corners of your eyes crinkle when you smiled back at him and apologized in a sweet as honey voice for the inconvenience. It was the best inconvenience of his life though, it led to him giving you his number right off the bat like some weirdo, thankfully you weren’t entirely freaked out by that, and it led to multiple dates. Lots of dinners, movies, museums and parks.
You were everything Shouto wasn’t but along the way you brought those qualities out in him. He found himself smiling more, even when you weren’t around, being friendlier and not as standoffish to the general public. He didn’t mind the change, rather accepted it, you made him better. Better as a person and a hero, and for all of that he loved you. At least Shouto was sure it was love, not like he had experienced it before but these symptoms he’d get had to be something to do with it.
When you’d touch him in any way, whether holding his hand, rubbing his chest as you snuggled up close to his left side on rainy nights, or letting the tips of your soft fingers map out the details of his face - Shouto would feel his heart skip a beat. This warmth bloomed in him when you spoke his name, laughed at his dead as a fish humor, or made giddy noises of excitement at random things. More than anything, the half and half hero would catch himself staring and smiling like an idiot anytime you walked into the room, when you’d be off in your own world singing and dancing, or like now as you did something as simple as talking and eating.
“Shouto, hello!”
You waved a hand in front of his face with a smile as you chewed your food.
“Hmm - I’m sorry what was that?”
Tilting your head, you flicked a small piece of waffle at your boyfriend, making him grin and pinch at your thigh that draped over his own under the booth table. Giggling, the two of you started to act like immature teens as he tickled you, teeth nipping at your cheek. Thankfully the dinner wasn’t too full, only a few eyes rolled at the scene.
“Shouto~,” you whined and squirmed, “You weren’t even paying attention to me, stop trying to act all cute, I’m supposed to be mad at you.”
“But I was paying attention to you,” he replied onto the soft skin of your jaw, his lips smiling against it, “I always am.”
You blushed, lips pouting at the unabashed affection and sweetness that was eluding the one and only Shouto Todoroki. He hummed as you cupped his left cheek, eyes narrowing at him.
“Oh yeah? Then what did I say just now?”
“I didn’t say what I was paying attention to in particular.”
Your head shook as you pressed your forehead to his own.
“What am I going to do with you Shouto Todoroki?
Love him maybe - he wanted to suggest as he went to kiss you had it not been for someone clearing their throat. You both turned to see the very tired looking waitress standing at your booth with a hand on her hip.
“Sorry to interrupt but I was just checking in to see if you needed anything else or if you’d like the check now?”
Shouto looked to you seeking an answer and you shook your head before cuddling up into his side, his arm automatically wrapping around you and petting your hair as he looked back to the waitress with a friendly smile. “No ma’am, I think we’ll take the check now and be on our way, thank you.”
With a sigh, the waitress set a greasy piece of paper down onto the table and walked off after gathering a few of the dishes from the table. Shouto struggled but managed to fish out his wallet as you remained clung to his side, a hand rubbing at his chest as you hummed quietly. Pulling out just enough for the food and a very generous tip, Shouto kissed your head.
“Ready to go home … well I mean my place?”
“Yeah Shouto, I’m ready to go home,” you replied and sat up, leaning over to kiss his cheek before sliding out of the booth and reaching a hand out for him to take.
Happily the hero took your hand in his own, slinging his arm around your shoulder once he stood and leading you both out of the dinner with a wave goodbye to the staff as you started on your way to his place. The walk was familiar, a tradition really. On evenings when you and Shouto planned on spending time together but he also got off work really late, you’d opt for taking a long nap until the dark hours of the early morning. Shouto always woke first, just to watch you sleeping in his arms, pet your hair and eyebrows and place numerous kisses on every inch of you he could. It never failed you’d wake up all smiles and playful like a kitten, the two of you rolling around under the covers with fingers tickling and touching hypersensitive skin, lips tasting whatever they desired. After finally rolling out of the warm bed, and it was always a struggle, you’d both dress comfortably and head down to the small diner that stayed open 24/7, becoming regulars. The walks to and from were always full of conversations, sometimes deep and sometimes absolutely ridiculous.
Shouto loved it all so much though. He loved how being around you made him feel, how he could let down those once unbreakable walls. You only ever saw him as Shouto, plain Shouto. Not the pro-hero Shouto, no, all that went out the door the second he clocked out. Hell even on the clock when you’d drop by to bring him lunch, you didn’t treat him any different. His status in society didn’t mean a damn thing to you and that meant everything to him.
Looking at you next to him as you both walked down the quiet street, another smile etched its way onto Shouto’s face. His long fingers threaded through yours, squeezing your hand in his gently. Your head turned and looked up at him, a blush spreading on your cheeks.
“What is up with you tonight huh hero? Do I have something on my face or in my teeth?”
“What I can’t admire my beautiful girlfriend?” He stopped walking as he questioned.
You smirked and turned to face him, taking his other hand in yours and swinging them carelessly between you.
“Beautiful huh? Just what do you keep admiring?”
Shouto chuckled, closing the distance between the two of you a little more. He let go of one of your hands, using it to cup your cheek as his head tilted. White and red hair dangling freely in front of his eyes, making your heart flutter.
“Are you phishing for compliments sweetheart?”
You went to laugh when suddenly a roll of thunder sounded off. Your eyes widened and you gasped as it started to sprinkle out of nowhere before a light rain was pouring. Droplets started to dress your hair and face, rolling from your lashes and cheeks as they managed to smile despite your predicament. Literally even the rain couldn’t dull your brightness. Shouto held your face in his hands and used his thumbs to wipe your eyes and cheeks as he leaned in and kissed you.
So many kisses have been shared between the two of you since this all started but there was something different about this one. It made Shouto feel like he was weightless despite the rain soaking his clothes and making them heavy and stick to his body. Something about the taste of syrup and orange juice still on your tongue had him humming with content and feeling at home. Maybe it was the fact that with this kiss here on the sidewalk in the pouring rain was the one where Shouto knew without a doubt that he was deeply and unequivocally in love with you.
You needed to know. He had to let it out.
Waiting no longer, Shouto broke the kiss, not even realizing how intense it had become as you were both panting for air and stared at each other.
“I love you. I love you so much!”
Your brows rose as you huffed and puffed, your breath becoming visible in the air as the temperature kept dropping. The rain was cold, really cold, but you were so warm under Shouto’s touch. Licking the remnants of the kiss from your lips you turned to kiss inside of the confessing mans palms, tasting the rain on his skin before surging forwards and kissing his mouth again. Turquoise and grey eyes lidded before finally closing shut and Shouto was picking you up with ease. You squealed into the kiss, wrapping around him with glee before parting from him and running your fingers through his hair, slicking it over to the side.
“I love you too Shouto, so much more.”
He chuckled and hugged you close, burying his face into the wet crook of your neck and you doing the same. Shouto smiled so big he was sure his face would crack if it grew any wider. You pulled back from the hug to cup his cheeks in your hands and giggled as you kissed them both, taking a second to stare at him. Drenched from the rain, pale skin lightly flushed and eyes full of adoration towards you. He smirked, maneuvering your body somehow around to hang from his back without dropping you. You yelping and adjusting as he started to walk again while carrying you piggyback.
“Do I have something on my face or in my teeth?” He questioned with a quirked brow.
Your chin hooked over his shoulder as you rested your cheek against his neck and smiled.
“What I can’t admire my beautiful boyfriend?”
